Oshan has been engaged in the fields of development, education and peacebuilding in various regions in Asia.

Originally from Sri Lanka, Oshan has been engaged in the fields of development, education and peacebuilding in various regions in Asia. His interests lay in the intersections of peace education, transdisciplinaryalternative development, nonviolent activism, restorative/ regenerativepractice and decolonization. He has over 5 years of experience working as acommunity organizer, facilitative trainer, and project coordinator with UNDP,UN Volunteers, Sri Lankan Government and other International and Local developmentpartners. Currently, he voluntarily engages as a core contributor and committee member in multiple global working groups and action networks focusing Global Citizenship Education (GCED), Youth Peace and Security Agenda (UNSCR 2250), and Community Empowered Mediation and Conflict Transformation in the Asia-Pacificregion.

Oshan is also an Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship scholar in which he completes his MA in Peace Education at the United Nations University for Peace, Costa Rica and MA in Transdisciplinary Social Development at the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines. Currently, he serves as a consultant to Arigatou International Geneva as a consultant in relation to their Ethics Education Fellowship and wider communications support.

Oshan believes that film-based dialogue as a method of storytelling can enhance the effectiveness of open dialogue, need-basedmediation and collaboration within communities to find nonviolent, sustainable and community-empowered solutions.
