Mirna Nel is a qualified speech therapist who worked in the support services of the Department of Education for 16 years. In 2006 she was appointed at North-West University, South Africa and is currently the deputy dean for research and innovation in the Faculty of Humanities. Her research interest is primarily focused on teacher education for inclusion and the role teachers play in teaching and supporting all learners in inclusive classrooms.
