Angela Low is a specialist in emotional intelligence and child development, committed to bringing social and emotional development to the forefront of communities that support children, youth and their families. Angela has been developing curriculum and facilitating workshops on emotional intelligence for 16 years in Canada and China. She is a researcher with the Social, Emotional and Educational Development (SEED) lab at the University of British Columbia, and is currently a consultant with the Dalai Lama Centre for Peace and Education, the YMCA, YWCA, and other community organizations in Canada to integrate social and emotional learning into family and youth programs. Her research focuses on mindfulness practices that promote resilience and wellbeing in parents and children.
Her passion and expertise lies in Emotional Intelligence and Developmental Psychology. She is also an experienced facilitator for team building and conflict resolution. She has facilitated strategy workshops for top executives in corporate and non-profit organizations, and have also delivered Train the Trainer workshops in EQ and Creative Thinking. She is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese. Angela is also a certified yoga teacher.
