David Hernández-Saca is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Northern Iowa.

He investigates the emotional impact of Learning Disability labeling on inner speech and the dialogical self, the role of emotionality in teacher learning about social justice, and examines violence within the academy against dis/Abled faculty of Color for their well-being.
