Dr. Nuwan Kodagoda graduated from the University of Moratuwa with a B.Sc (Hons) in Engineering in 1995. He subsequently also got his MPhil from the University of Moratuwa. He obtained his PhD from the Sheffield Hallam University, UK. He joined the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology in 2001.

Currently he is the Dean/Faculty of Computing where there are over 11,000 students in the Faculty. His research interests are in High Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and in Education.
