Geeta Dhir is a Consultant Educational Psychologist with extensive experience working with children, young people, families, and schools in various settings, including Local Authorities, Specialist Schools, and private sectors. She holds a BSc in Psychology, a PGCE from Goldsmiths College, and an MSc in Educational Psychology from the University of East London.
Geeta has contributed at individual, group, and systemic levels, working on issues like hate crime, domestic violence, and social-emotional learning. She has presented at a range of local, national, and international conferences and is passionate about mind-body approaches, therapeutic interventions, and working with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Geeta founded arts-based and embodiment-focused online community groups. She is also the creator of EEPSIG, which hosts monthly embodiment meetings for Educational Psychologists and held its first national conference in 2023. Geeta has provided supervision and consultation to Educational Psychologists and trainees, served as a trustee for charities, and participated in the UN Rise Up4 Peace initiative. She has been featured in media outlets like Baby London and Yahoo Finance. Geeta is also the founder of a couple of projects aimed at empowering teenagers to cultivate hope and agency for the future.
Outside of work, she enjoys creating, collaborating, walking by the sea, and exploring other countries.
