Hannah Jepson: Business Psychologist, Co-founder, and Director LGBTed, Director Engaging for Success, Hannah is committed to driving social change by helping organizations become more inclusive. Her passion is in supporting individuals, businesses, and organizations to embrace diversity and inclusion, with a key focus on intersectionality. She believes meaningful change in this space only happens by enabling and enhancing understanding within organizations, applying passion, and providing people with safe spaces to have uncomfortable conversations which can affect real behavior change.
In 2018, Hannah founded LGBTed, a national LGBTQ+ network in order to drive meaningful and sustainable social change by enabling greater LGBTQ+ visibility in the education system. As Director, she is a member of the national equality and diversity forum for education and is currently working with DfE, NGA, Governors for Schools, ASCL, NASBTT, and other national education organizations to develop the national conversation around diversity and inclusion in education. She is a published academic author and her work on the career experiences of gay women in the UK has been featured in an international research handbook exploring diversity and careers. Hannah is also the lead coach for the Leeds Beckett national LGBTQ inclusion in education award, a member of the Leeds Beckett LGBTQ+ research centre advisory panel, the Pankhurst Centre’s women’s aid project’s LGBTQ+ inclusion advisory panel, and a coach for Pankhurst Centre’s ‘some women coach’ programme.
Hannah is the Director of Engaging for Success, an organization that delivers solutions to support organizations in becoming more inclusive. Her projects include delivering impactful D&I solutions for organizations including supporting organizations to become truly anti-racist and LGBTQ+ inclusive; developing behavioral competency frameworks and recruitment & assessment solutions for leaders in schools and across a range of sectors; consulting with trusts nationally on the LGBTQ+ inclusion agenda, providing organizations with support on the development of pan diversity and inclusion strategies and designing bespoke leadership and mentoring programmes at all levels - with a particular focus on leadership and key career transition points. Hannah specializes in recruitment, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, policy development, and talent and has worked with a diverse range of organizations which include: Itsu, Greene King, United Utilities, Department for Transport, Highways England, Ambition Institute, Centre for Aging Better, Sony Pictures Europe, HM Treasury, Office for Nuclear Regulation, Booking.com, RentalCars, Imperial College London and NHS Wales, HomeStart UK, Academies Enterprise Trust, The Proud Trust, RSM UK, Big Education Trust, Co-op Group, DAZN, Pension Protection Fund, and Leeds Beckett University.
Hannah’s speaking engagements include: Department for Education’s national diversity and inclusion forum, House of Commons LGBTQ+ forum with minister for schools, Bright Network LGBTQ+ Illuminate series, Wellington festival of education, Sheffield Hallam festival of education, numerous national diversity and inclusion conferences including Diverse Educators 2020 online, Clear Company LGBTQ communities and Covid-19 webinar series, ‘Let’s talk about’ inclusion series with Leeds Beckett University, Inclusion in the time of Covid-19 with the Global Citizenship Foundation.
