Dr. Lisa Delehoy is an educator and learning leader dedicated to cultivating global citizenship and social-emotional development through inclusive, value-creating education. As Lead Teacher at an early learning center in Denver, Colorado, she designed and implemented curriculum that nurtures intellectual curiosity, emotional resilience, and intercultural understanding in young learners.
With over a decade of experience across Japan and the United States, Dr. Delehoy’s work bridges global education frameworks and early childhood development. Her teaching at Tokyo’s Soka High School integrated the United Nations Global Goals into advanced English and leadership courses, fostering students’ capacity for empathy, dialogue, and global awareness.
A Fellow of the Global Citizenship Education Working Group at the Soka Institute for Global Studies, Dr. Delehoy continues to advance research and practice in peace, human rights, and sustainability education. She also leads initiatives in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ), including founding the DEIJ Book Club to deepen staff engagement in reflective, inclusive practice at the early learning center.
Guided by a commitment to humanistic education, Dr. Delehoy’s mission is to empower learners of all ages to think critically, act compassionately, and contribute meaningfully to a more interconnected and peaceful world.
