Lysa's career has centred on large‑scale change initiatives rooted in global social justice movements and transnational campaigns for accountable governance. She has served in several influential leadership roles, including Head of Outreach for the UN High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Agenda, Global Campaigns Director at Save the Children International, and Secretary-General of CIVICUS.

Lysa also contributes her expertise in an advisory capacity to networks such as the International Budget Partnership, UN Live! and the World Benchmarking Alliance, helping strengthen collective efforts toward justice, equity and accountability.
