With the commencement of online classes as an effect of COVID-19, both teachers and students are trying to cope with this radically new arrangement of a classroom. UNESCO stated that 1.37 billion students are home now, and 60.2 million teachers no longer in the school. With national media coming forward with news articles titled as “Online classes turning out to be a nightmare for teachers” and “Peeping parents, sleeping students, and bullying - online classes, are a nightmare for teachers,” it is well established that this disposition of a classroom isn’t easy to handle. 

Teachers must explore their possibilities beyond just lectures - this ranges from providing psychological care to learning aspects of technological advancements. In this context, the panel discusses the new skills and competencies that our teachers require to thrive and excel in empowering education among students during COVID. They also discuss how to use these skills to transform education for human flourishing. 

Towards the conceptualization of this vision, the 11th Edition of the Online Educational Leadership Forum "What New Skills and Competencies do our teachers need?" was held.
