Roy Schwartzman (Ph.D., University of Iowa) is a full professor in the Department of Communication and Co-Director of the Campus Writing and Speaking Program at North Carolina State University.

He has published more than 150 scholarly articles and chapters and has won several national awards for research. Dr. Schwartzman served as a department head from 2019-2023 and was awarded a 2022 Presidential Citation for Outstanding Service to the Discipline from the National Communication Association.
